Dynamic playoff scoring
2027 NFL Playoff Pool Rules

$40 per user
How it works
- Each round, make picks for the upcoming playoff games.
- Game picks combine the side and total, with a base point value per game, such as Chiefs -2.5 Over 47.5.
- Each game has four outcomes: home/over, home/under, away/over, and away/under.
- Make futures picks once before the playoffs, such as the Super Bowl matchup or winner.
- At lock time, each option is worth base points / number of users who picked that option.
- Points accumulate across all rounds and are tracked on the standings page.
- Game picks lock at kickoff; all futures lock when the first playoff game begins.
Base scoring
The values are calibrated so difficult early futures matter without allowing one pick type to decide the entire pool.
- Super Bowl matchup: 400 points for the exact two teams
- Super Bowl winner: 300 points
- Conference Championship matchup: 200 points per conference (400 total)
- Individual side + total game pick: 100 points
How the split works
- Every pick has a base points pot.
- When a result is final, the pot is split evenly among everyone who picked correctly.
- If a 100-point pick is correct and 4 users got it right, each receives 25 points.
Examples
- Game: A 100-point game split among 5 correct users awards each 100 / 5 = 20 points.
- Super Bowl winner: A 300-point future split between 2 correct users awards each 300 / 2 = 150 points.
- Super Bowl matchup: If exactly 1 user correctly picks the 400-point matchup, that user receives all the points.
